About Tirthan Valley
Surrounded by exceptional mountain-backed scenery and charming riverside villages,slate-roofed hay barns, Tirthan Valley is divided into two main valleys at the busy hub town of Banjar. Tirthan Valley is dotted with rural, riverside gateways, many of them aimed at anglers. However, it also forms a trekking getaway to the World Heritage, the Great Himalayan National Park. The valley is nothing less than a paradise with clear skies, majestic mountains, and pristine river. It is a great way to escape the city life and immerse yourself in nature.
Visit Jibhi Waterfall
The Jibhi Waterfall is hidden inside the forest that cannot be seen until you are well inside the dense forest. music The gushing of water flows like music and makes the whole place enchanting.
Small wooden bridges are built near the waterfall that provides a picturesque view of the place. So, sit near the waterfall and enjoy the music of nature.
Trek to Chehni Kothi
Chehni Kothi or Kothi Chehni – is a tall, wooden fortress, located in village Chehni.
It is believed that this kothi was built sometime in the 17th century by King Dhadhu – which is why Chehni Kothi is also sometimes known as Dhadhiya Kothi.
This fortress was originally seven storeys tall but the Kangra Earthquake of 1905 destroyed the top two storeys and now only 5 levels remain.
The chehni Kothi height is approximately 45 meters and in the Western Himalayas, it is known to be the tallest temple tower of its kind.
- After visiting the Chehni Kothi. we’ll depart for Delhi by 9-10 pm with lots of breathtaking views and everlasting memories.
- Reach Delhi next morning by 7 to 8 AM (tentatively).
