About Kedarnath
Kedarnath temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the Garhwal Himalaya of Uttrakhand. It is situated at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level and is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus.
Kedarnath is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is situated near the Mandakini River. The town is only accessible by foot, and visitors have to trek for 16 km from Gaurikund to reach Kedarnath.
Apart from the Kedarnath Temple, the town has several other attractions, including the Bhairav Temple, Gandhi Sarovar, Vasuki Tal, and Triyuginarayan Temple. Visitors can also go on trekking and hiking expeditions in the surrounding areas.
